Serena has been chiefly an artistic potter since 1992,
creating her own style by making furnishing objects for kitchen, bathroom,
table lamps and other. You can see her works in the page Serena's artistic handicrafts.
She also co-operates with the district schools by holding pottery workshops for adults and children, and she has also held a course for the prisoners of the jail of Orvieto. The teaching courses are held in the centre of Ficulle, at the old workshop (operating since 1834) where Serena and her master Costantino Del Croce work. The duration of these courses and individual lessons can be personalized at your request and according to age, number and capability of the pupils. The price is € 15.00/hour per participant (materials used and your creations included). We request that you book 15 days in advance. For technical reasons, the objects made of clay need to dry for at least three days (depending on the seasons!) before being baked. Baking lasts about 8 hours and the kiln is opened 4 to 6 hours later. At last, you will be able to see and keep your end products without additional expenses. Indicative Program of Pottery Courses: |
